Mehmet F. Özpay
Mehmet Ozpay started Robert College as an Orta Prep student in 1972 and graduated from Lise III in 1979. After briefly taking Civil Engineering courses at Union College in the USA, Mr. Ozpay relocated to Germany and enrolled at the University of Stuttgart, where he completed his Master’s degree in Architecture (Diplom Ingenieur Architekt) in 1987. Following graduation, Mr. Ozpay moved back to the US and started working as an architect and interior designer in New York City.
Mr. Ozpay’s background includes 20 years experience at leading design firms such as ISD and Fox & Fowle, and institutions such as JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and New York Presbyterian Hospital. He currently serves as Director of Corporate Real Estate for Metropolitan Life Insurance (MetLife), where he is responsible for large-scale construction projects on the national level. He also teaches design and drafting courses as an adjunct faculty member of the New York School of Interior Design.
Mr. Ozpay is married and lives with his wife Meltem Tekeli Ozpay in New York City. He is fluent in Turkish, English and German, and has a black belt in the martial arts form tae kwon do.
